Udaipur to Jodhpur Bicycling Tour

Udaipur to jodhpur bicycle tour

Bicycle is a great combination of history, culture, customs and natural beauty. Rajasthan is a biggest state of India in area and always knows for the Royal Rajput families who had ruled on this state. This tour gives an experience of dessert life and also shows that how do the people live in the villages so happily. People can be seen in traditional attire and men with colorful turbans. As it has the dessert part, we can see many shepherds with herd of sheep. We always prefer the way that gives most of the opportunities to explore. Forts, Temples and Palaces gives an amazing experience of art and architectural intelligence of the people who built these all monuments hundreds of years ago.

    What Our Clients Say

    Cycling from Udaipur to Jodhpur

We started the new year on a fantastic note with a bicycle tour led by Kishan and his team from January 3rd to 6th, 2025. Cycling is a wonderful way to experience both the countryside and historical heritage. Our group consisted of three Dutch travelers who enjoyed the scenic, hilly landscapes on the journey from Udaipur to Jodhpur. The cycling experience was delightful; our focus was on savoring the journey—connecting with people, immersing in culture, and appreciating nature—rather than covering long distances. And we achieved it all!

On the first day, we traveled from Udaipur to Kumbhalgarh, cycling about 40 km through slightly hilly terrain with breathtaking views. The remaining distance was covered by car, driven by Naveen, a very careful and skilled driver. Our accommodations in Kumbhalgarh were luxurious and offered stunning views. We visited the fort with a knowledgeable local guide and enjoyed a mesmerizing sunset at this impressive site. The guide’s stories and insights made the visit truly special.

On the second day, we cycled approximately 35 km to Jawai, a destination popular among tourists for leopard safaris. However, we chose not to take the safari as we prefer not to rush around in open jeeps. Instead, we enjoyed a magical sunset by the water at the Jawai Dam—a truly serene and beautiful experience! Our homestay in Jawai exceeded our expectations. We stayed in a haveli-style house with a private toilet and shower, and we enjoyed a homemade dinner and a delicious breakfast on the rooftop terrace. The family hosting us was incredibly kind and hospitable. En route to Jawai, we stopped at the renowned Jain temple in Ranakpur, a must-see attraction. We explored the temple at our own pace with the help of an audio guide.

On the third day, we cycled approximately 40 km of flat terrain to Jodhpur. Along the way, we passed a brick-making site where women were molding clay into bricks and drying them in the sun before firing them in kilns. I even tried making two bricks myself—though they weren’t as square as they should have been! 😊

The following morning, we visited the fort in Jodhpur and admired the view of the iconic blue houses. We learned from our local guide that these homes are no longer exclusively Brahmin residences. The guide’s extensive knowledge and keen observations helped us notice details we might have otherwise missed.

Our wonderful trip concluded with a car ride back to Udaipur. Kishan’s team—Naveen, the careful driver, and Bola, the attentive bicycle caretaker who ensured our bikes remained in excellent condition—made the experience seamless. The thoughtfully chosen accommodations and insightful local guides added to the charm of this journey. We would highly recommend this trip, or any other tailor-made tour with Kishan and his team, to visitors seeking a blend of cycling, culture, nature, and heritage exploration.

    Having fun cycling in Rajasthan

We did a three day cycling tour from Udaipur to Jodhpur which was the perfect start for our 12 day journey through Rajasthan.
Kishan was an exceptionally kind, polite and helpful guide with a good sense of humor. He made sure we got a true and authentic experience of his home country which you can tell he really loves! He shared so much knowledge, pointed out interesting facts and stopped every where he thought we would enjoy or like to click a foto 😉.
The bicycles were in excellent condition and we could basically decide how much we wanted to ride each day. The whole organization was flawless and Kishan also made sure everything was provided once we got off our bikes, and he was very pleasant company during meal times.
We will take home so much more than our cycle memories and are very grateful for this wonderful trip together! 🚲🙏🏻
