Molela Trekking

Udaipur adventure activities

If you are interested in art, craft and culture then Molela is a place for you to feast upon its alluring artefacts and culture.

The village is originally home of Mina and Bhil tribal’s. They have adopted icon worship into their own tribal systems of worship. Every year, during the month of January, their native and other Tribal groups from all over the country, travel to Molela to buy clay plaques and use it to depict the images of their Gods. To show their gratitude for the blessings received, these tribal groups replace their votive icons for God's from every three to five years.

The residents of the village are experts in the art of Murtikala. The potters of the village also make utensils on a wheel using clay. Like most crafts, these native art forms have been passed down through generations, which evolves with each generation. So, if you are looking for vibrant cultural or tribal walks then Molela is a place to visit.
